Posted by Sacramento Bill Here is how it went.... Went to Gerardo's on Spring Mountain Rd. about 2:00pm. Two in line ahead of me and only two barbers working. Good timing because within a few minutes another 6 came in. Trust me, they were watching. A younger guy did the deed. I was glad I got him because the guy before had a fade and the young barber (name unknown) was not shy using the clippers. My results were mixed. He did a great job on the sides with his electric razor and the blend into the flat top was perfect. The top was not - it was not close enough; no visible landing strip, and it was a bit rounded. I was disapointed. But later after I checked into my hotel room, I pulled out the 00000 clippers I was carrying, grabbed a hand mirror and very perfectly, if I must admit, lowered the front and top until I made contact with the skin. Perfect to-the-wood landing strip. Then rounded the sides in a bit and rounded the back of the top, and relathered and shave the sides and back so I had a real HORSESHOE FLATTOP. It came out very well I must say. If my hair was thicker in texture it would be a real thing of beauty. (In my opinion those of you with thicker hair wear much better flats.) Well, woke up this morning and saw that my hair was still unmessed - it's way to short to get messed while sleeping. If I had to go to the office today I would have to buzz it cause it is way, way to severe to show in my office environment. But I am traveling until next monday to flat I shall be! Call me flattop! Now Flattop Bill Sacramento Bill, now Flattop Bill

The deed is done. I am now sporting a severe to-the-skin on top, lather shaved sided horseshoe flattop. Even though my hair is very fie in texture, it is too short to lay down!
