Posted by Colin on 22/3/2007, 17:51:34 Nivea for Men Shaving Gel, Fresh Cooling The store I stopped at last night didn't have the Gilette Complete gel, and I saw this and couldn't resist trying it out because, boy, do I love menthol. It's not my favorite; it's a little stiff, like the Fusion gel, and it's got some fragrance that makes it smell more like a cigarette than a mint leaf. The weird spray top is also kind of annoying because it builds up pressure in the top and then dribbles out slowly for so long I thought the can must be jammed open. But it's good and slick (without PTFE), with no gooey stearate, and I love the feel of menthol. I wish I'd had this all along to use once in a while.

Even before I stumbled on this, I'd already decided to stay bald through the spring. With the snowstorm, I never got around to shaving all weekend. Sunday night and Monday morning, I spent a couple minutes in front of the mirror getting used to the stubble and thinking about growing out, but quickly decided bald was still what I wanted.
