The length, or lack thereof, is still extreme but the look itself does not convey what a high and tight does. To me, it still takes cojones to wear a HT out of the military, particularly when you're not a kid anymore. I don't feel that way about a shaved head even though it's techincally an even shorter cut. Long live the H&T indeed!

Gunny, I couldn't agree with you more - (more) men should adopt military-style haircuts, particularly the high and tight. They convey a certain attitude and they look great on most guys - and they are easy to take care of, frequent barbershop visits aside. Not to mention that traditional barbershops would be thriving everywhere if men got a weekly or bi-weekly HT. Another fringe benefit.
