Posted by BuzzCT on 5/11/2006, 8:18:08, in reply to "A new kind of POLITICS" The congressional races, however, are another story - the House in particular. There has been enough mud slung to swallow the whole state in quicksand! The Republicans have definitely taken the lead in the slinging, with my rep, Nancy Johnson, the worst of all. If you don't know who she is, you should: she was the main author of the horrendous medicare 'reform' bill, complete with that donut whole to screw the entire middle class. She authored that legislation after receiving millions in PAC money from the drug companies, and after taking 88 trips at PAC expense! Hopefully, it looks like she will lose this time. I'm glad to see that MA is back in a leadership role again!

Here in CT we have had a similar experience with the governor's race. John DeStephano tried very hard to sling mud at Jodie Rell (the Rep.) but it fell flat: Rell leads in the polls by a huge margin.
