Myself and 3 other friends, all cops were at a coffee shop last week all out of uniform, unshaven in shorts and t-shirts and got fingered by a few ladies as cops. All of us had a HnT of some kind, all pretty fresh too. We asked how they knew and they said it was our haircuts. (we were not eating doughnuts). This happens all the time.
