I sympathize.
Like you I suspect that folk are not speaking their minds out of "compassion" or "embarassment".
I've not gone as far as you have. I've not razor shaved. But with my fine hair -- fine before it began thinning -- and now thin, a 000 buzz looks "shaved" to anyone but me. My head shows no "five o'clock shadow" as DR's does even after a repeated close lather/razor shave the first day after.
I too am amazed that the folk in the office have not asked me why I decided to go "bald". I think the issue is that I've been around #1 burred on many occassions. Being 000 is no difference for most people. I can see why "slick" means nothing either. They think a #1 burr is "shaved".
