Posted by Gunny I have 40 years of voting behind me. In that time I have never failed to vote in a statewide or federal election. (I admit that I ignore town/municipal politics). I have voted in every other contest without exception. I'm in a minority position. I've voted even when I knew that my vote most likely made little difference. But every time, regardless of outcome, I have genuinely experienced a real "chill" of being an American and exercising the right that defines us as Americans. Vote on November 7. That applies to you even if I think your views are to the right of Attilla the Hun. VOTE! It is an incredible experience!

I'm reacting to dozens of media reports about the fact that many folk see themselves as so helpless or frustrated that they do not vote at all.
