I'm reacting to dozens of media reports about the fact that many folk see themselves as so helpless or frustrated that they do not vote at all. I have 40 years of voting behind me. In that time I have never failed to vote in a statewide or federal election. (I admit that I ignore town/municipal politics). I have voted in every other contest without exception. I'm in a minority position. I've voted even when I knew that my vote most likely made little difference. But every time, regardless of outcome, I have genuinely experienced a real "chill" of being an American and exercising the right that defines us as Americans. Vote on November 7. That applies to you even if I think your views are to the right of Attilla the Hun. VOTE! It is an incredible experience!
