I grew up in England and always had a golliwog going to bed with me. He was someone I talked to, told all my troubles to and laughed with. Golly was a happy fellow - always smiling and oh such a smart dresser! I wish I had kept him when I grew up, but unfortunately, he disappeared one day and I didn't even notice. Forgive me Golly, you are still remembered and loved! Long live all golliwogs.
