I can honestly say I never have nor to this day, associate a Golliwog with a person, whatever colour they may be..to me..its a doll, heck, hes too cute to be real!
I have many people of colour customers, who love their Gollies as much as us Whiteys.(In this day and age, I find that a ridiculous statement as well,,,when will we all just be people, without the adjectives thrown in>>)..
I don't understand the racism slur hurled at those of us who choose to collect, sell, or display a doll, and I don't expect I ever will...
