Did it ever occur to you that not all white people are a pale peachy pink colour?
I am white british but that doesn't mean my skin is the same colour as a barbie doll (which you seem to think must be an accurated representation of white people)!
My whole family and myself have very, very tanned skin and dark hair but we're not cring out for a ban on barbies pale skin and fair hair because it doesn't match ours!
As for golly having black skin that doesn't make him a racist figure, the colouring isn't spot on...so what? The simpsons are yellow. My skin isn't yellow, but we are suppost to be the same race. A character on the show is of black origin and his skin colour on the show is brown (more to your liking).
This is more accurate to the colour of black peoples skin, than their representation of white peoples skin (yellow), SO using your logic does this make the program RACIST AGAINST WHITE PEOPLE????
Allowing different coloured dolls (accurate or not) brings unity and knowledge of different races from a young age, books of golliwoggs and teddy bears playing together represent this, they represent different cultures, colours and personalities intergrating and interacting. What would life be like if each race were bought up with books and toys that only contained and prepresented people of their colour?
