I had a Golliwogg when I was a child. I loved it, it made me feel warm and secure and always smiled at me ! If anything it made me see blacks as warm and happy. Never once did I see it as grotesque or an insult to black people.
This idea that a Golliwogg is a slur on blacks is the result of do-gooders trying to be seen as pro-black by black affairs organisations. It is Political Correctness gone absolutely crazy. I object strongly to my Golliwogg being casticated, I loved it !!
