Are you STUPID??! "If anything, those of the black race should be proud to 'own' this guy as one of them!" Give me a break and get a clue. Look at how many strange white dolls there are? Sure, there are some out there, but they are not white like ghosts, are they? No, they are pretty much always accurate in skin tone--no coincidence there. My point is that Gollies are extreme representations of the black race--if they were meant to be racially accurate, they could have been brown. No black people are black as coal. The doll's originator knew exactly what she intended by coloring it the way she did. Take some time and research books and pictures from European invasion/"colonization" of African nations. It is no coincidence that pictures of Africans and "natives" are practically black as coal. Anyone with a brain knows that not all Africans look alike, and these pictures were drawn by racist English/Dutch/etc. authors. Europeans were known to attempt to belittle Africans by exaggerating the color of their skin.
