SAVE OUR GOLLY!

My Grandmother's cousin was the person who "created" or "invented" the golliwogg and i have to say i think it is not a symbol of racism but a symbol of racial acceptance and awareness. the fact that this 'doll' arises so many issues is in its self a reason why its such a good thing. This 'doll' has brought people to question what they believe is acceptable and what they believe is un-acceptable in todays modern society.

Hello everyone,
As a relative to the golliwogg creator i feel obliged to express the point that the golliwogg is not something to feel edgy or touchy about but a thing to feel racially reminenicent about. This 'doll' is quite a domineering figure in racial acceptance history. The 'doll' does not symbolise the difference of the black race, if anything the 'doll' actually indicates the acceptance of the black race. People who believe the golliwog is a racial product are themselves being racist because they are making an issue of it. there are more white dolls looking stupid in our toy creating history than there are black so whats the problem? ....this paticular character was not portrayed in a bad way in fact it was quite the contrary he was portrayed as a good man. case closed.
