Re: New question for old subject: Stick Mags
I've been intrigued by the little 1919A4 myself and wondered how they fed it, i assumed it was with a plastic strip belt sort of thing. Yrs ago i bought several tank tread sprocket kits for a hobby robot and thought how easy it would be to mold a 100-200 Rnd belt using the basic design of the rubber track/ sprocket system. If narrow enough, a forked delinker to push the cartridge out of the belt would be feasible. I'm going to attempt a RG gatling, and stick with the original design as much as possible, but still have M134 on the brain and think a belt fed gatling would be a hoot. And if i wanted to throw tradition out the window, i'd just go simple and build a single bolt rotary gun thats designed like a double action revolver. With a 10 barreled gun, lots of stuff got to work right in the 36 degrees between each cycle. Send me a pic of the 1919 the email is kt4wy@surry.net
