Dick,
You are quite right. Drawing 48-08 shows to tap the holes for #2-56 screws in the box cam, and 48-14 shows to drill and countersink #44 drill clearance hole through the recoil plate. I was an idiot and drilled the #44 holes right through and into the cam. Will tap these for BA screws.
Sorry Paul, the plans were OK after all.
