Posted by jon my problem is the company that manufactured the adapter is no longer in business and i have only 4 more balls left...i was wondering (because im a novice hunter) if a size of shot from a shotgun shell might be close to what i need or if anyone knows another supplier of these lead balls?...also im gonna need some 22 cal blanks but thats not the real issue as i have lots of them..any info would be appreciated..thanks in advance

i bought a rifle adapter at a garage sale for my 30-06 which enables me to hunt grouse.. a .22 cal starting gun blank inserts inside the 30-06 caseing..a lead ball .302.5 fits snuggly in the end of the caseing and is surprizingly accurate as well as to my amazement because the lead ball went clear through the target,wall and a pool i have for washing my dogs in!..
