A guy made one here in SC and took it to the Francis Marion rifle range to fire it. The game wardens thought it was an illegal weapon, and arrested him. He went to Federal Court, and the Federal judge threw the case out, stating it WAS LEGAL for him to build his own gat in .308. I don't know if he is suing the game wardens for false arrest or not.
