Something to consider- When I did mine I tightened the barrels with a home made barrel wrench (1/2" hole in an aluminum block then sawed in half thru the center of the hole and clamped to the barrel) BEFORE cutting the hex and marked the outside of the barrels in line with the pin holes in the rim of the barrel plate to get the flats aligned the same. This is the same idea that custom car builders use for bolt heads and screw slots in car show judging. It took a lot longer than just cutting the hex first but shows a little craftsmanship.
