Brownells is the tech place to call as they sell the epoxy. I've never used anything but regular soft solder for the 1st 1-1/2" on each end and I've never lost one out 300 some barrels. You are right that silver solder is way too hot and just not necessary. Pre-tin the ends of the liners and wipe them shiny clean. I do this in the lathe at slow speed. Tap them into the tube with rosin flux leaving a 1/2" or so sticking out each end. Then just torch up lightly adding a little solder until it "sweats" in and call it good.
