My understanding on barrel length is since a Gatling gun is neither a rifle of a pistol the these regulations do not apply.
The barrel lengtth originated to keep the gansters from carring saw-off shot ggun under there coat. Of course it wouldn't be possable to carry a Gatling gun under their coat.
