How many hours does the gatling build take

I'm really interested in building one these gatling guns but I don't want to start on it and lose interest do to the length of time. Also I've read that paul has reached 1000 rounds per minute and I was wondering if that was with a gravity fed system. Has anyone build one with a spring assist? Thanks
