Our 4 year old grey, Mr. Peepers, has a large vocabulary and up until a couple of months ago, talked quite frequently and would go through almost his entire list of words and/or sentences. He suddenly stopped that practice and is now only saying 3 new words that he picked up which is all that he says! He also stopped whistling a few of his favorite songs and we've noticed that he doesn't play with his toys as much, either. He just had his yearly check up at the vet and everything was fine! We have two other birds, an active talking 2 year old Eclectus and a Red Lored Amazon who he has lived with for the four years we have had him! He does everything with "the flock" and he gets ALOT of attention and perks! He has always been more taken with me than my wife, but he likes her alot, too. He was in a routine and knew about what time I would come home everyday for lunch, but I have since retired, eff. January of this year. I don't know if he has not adjusted to me being here more often or what! Could you provide an answer to our dilema? We are concerned about a possible behavior problem occuring which could lead to plucking!
Thanks!
