i 2nd Madelynn's message only to say lots of animals are in need of good homes that were abused/rescued. I had two cats that were rescued right at our door steps. and they make the best pets.
African grey obviously are not your dog or cat. She is right research, parrots we know there are lots of species African greys are one of the most sensitive ones..i adopted a 5 yr. old congo..all the attention and love he gets are still not enough., for his plucking as he was doing it before being adopted.-and still does.
"vet says its like a healthy human biting his nails". but we still love the guy despite those lack of feathers.
i could not agree more with Madelynn, research and learn as much as you can-they are so fascinating, learning and researching..i still have lots to learn but enjoying my companion-each day.
"Biko"- our baby..is lots of fun..and can be so entertaining.all they need is someone to give them proper attention w/sensitive love.
and proper diet.
: Hi,
:
: I am really interested in getting
: an African Grey. The only question
: that I have is how old should it
: be?
:
: I want something which isnt too
: much of a problem as far as
: feeding is concerned. My other
: concern is that I would like it to
: get attached to me.
