Dear Rachael,,,,, I would suggest getting as much info. about greys as you can,,, they are very sensitive species of parrot,, they need a good mix of fruit and veggies,,, I have read,, and talked to my vet,,, cuttlebones are were not recommended for parrots in general,, but brocolli is the best source,, always wash fruits veggies,, advocado is toxic,,, never let your parrot eat pits of any fruit, they are toxic too,,,,please contact a vet about african grey care,, please,,,, for both you and the bird.... any quest's if i can help ., you can do so,, i dont get to my e mail; everyday,, i just moved... but food source is the best method of keeping up on proper calcium levels,,, also check out birdtalks magazine website take care Madelynn
