: Hey,
: I recently bought a previously
: owned african grey. For some
: reason when he was with his
: previous owner he plucked out
: all of his feathers (Possibly
: due to his change of ocupation
: and not having the time to spend
: with the grey). He's very
: friendly and we dont have the
: time restraints to where we have
: to leave him alone for long
: periods of time. So given that
: he stops plucking, how long will
: it take for his feathers to grow
: back, and is there any vitamins
: that will help.

Mike, You should make sure he has a wellness exam by an avain vet who deals with birds. Make sure it doesn't have mites or any other underlying illness to make them pluck. Go by some preening toys to give him something to like a string doll or piniata. Something to preen and schred. They say pomagrantes help. but make a mess.
