i bought an african grey from a pet shop they said he was 5 months old. he still begs for food and won't eat his regular food. what should i do i don't want him to starve?
: Carla, have you ever fed a bird
: before? you will need to keep
: this baby warm. I keep my babies
: in a plastic container in which
: I put some paper toweling for
: the baby to walk and sleep on I
: also give them a stuffed animal
: to sleep with this will take the
: place of thier clutch mates and
: thier mom and dad. put a heating
: pad that you wrap in a towel
: under the container, makes sure
: the container is partially off
: of pad so the baby can chose
: heat or cool area. you can put a
: clothover the top leaving a
: space at the cool end open. You
: will need to get a hand reaing
: formula, like excact or
: prettybird. he will need to be
: fed at least four to five times
: a day. you can use 3oz paper
: cups, it will simulate his
: parents feeding him or her. Were
: do you live. if you click on my
: name in the message part you can
: email me. I raise greys, and I
: would never sell ababy this
: young. Please write me . My name
: will be underlined. I beleive it
: says message posted by brenda.
: Clilck on this and you can mail
: me. please post here also there
: is a site called
: TheGreyRoundTable. Lots of info
: here. There will also be a
: AfricanGRey conference in
: Atlanta Ga.starting NOV 1 till
: Nov 4

: I have bought a grey a few days ago
: of about 4 weeks. I am very
: concerned that he will not make
: it, because I am inexpierienced
: and do not know all the signs
: (if he's hungry, cold etc.)
: which I have to look out for.
: Please give me advice what to
: look for and what to do, because
: there aren't any books on greys
: available in our book shop.
