I have an 16month old. He/she talks when you don't even know, especailly when I leave the room, not a whole lot but she is diffently gathering her vocab library. There are several surrounding changes that might make her feel uneasy. I wouldn't worry, do you remember how old you were when you started to talk? Every one is different. Be patient.
