I'm pretty sure the priority isn't an issue...I remember trying that before and it didn't work. I'd think that if FD was eating 99% of the CPU it'd be able to do its job faster, and it wouldn't have taken so long to switch desktops, but then, I guess none of the other processes get any priority to display their windows. I haven't re-encountered the problem since I took FD out of system startup, and I don't have a debugger, but I'll see what I can figure out.
