Uh... no idea on top of my head. Let's investigate a bit further: you say "after I rebooted FD ran just fine" WHAT are you rebooting, the whole OS or just shutting down and restarting FD?
If you shut down just FD and restart FD does the problem stay or it is solved?
Also: are you running a hardware emulator like vmware or virtualpc?
