Have you checked if FD really flagged such window as moveaway after you have set the option? You can see if moveaway is being applied, from the AllWndsInTheOs page, "Flags" column (scroll right). Otherwise it's correct: unfortunately your ideas seem to be among the few choices you have... or you could also use a rule with a fast timer... The short questions: 2) There are a few applications which misbehave when being hidden (you can try moveaway in that case) but usually they do that consistently so either they misbehave badly and you lose all messages or they work totally correctly. 3) Not totally clear what you mean by sub-process but I would say the answer is: Yes. Uh... tough questions today! ![]()
i have an application on "desk 3" (consisting of multiple windows), which constantly moves one of its windows to the desk where i´m working. maybe it has something to do with the fact that those windows are updated and change their caption frequently? have tried hide and moveaway [...]
Very strange, it seems like the app is constantly checking if its window is visible and the coordinates are inscreen... was made by a paranoid programmer? :-?
1) Yes, however the successful rules use a mere :
ostMessage (asynchronous, and best effort, just like UDP) to accomplish most actions, so it's not guaranteed that the effects of rule 1 will be perceived before the actions of rule 2 expecially if rule 1 and rule 2 affect different target applications.
