1. Yes it's possible: you have to set FD to handle those programs that you want to keep on the taskbar with the move-away technique (page special/hooks in the FD config dialog) and then for those you can decide whether to leave the taskbar button or not. If you also want to switch to the desktop where those programs are running at the press of the taskbar button, then you have to make a rule that switches to the desktop where the application is, when the application goes to foreground. There is a sample rule called "Notepad on foreground makes you switch": have a look at that and at the manual for learning how to create the rules.
I might allow the windows logo key to work with FD but it would require quite a bit of work because what I'm using now is the standard HotKeyCtrl of Windows (which doesn't support the win key) and I would need to rewrite it completely to allow this. Also, I'm currently abroad and I won't be able to make changes to FD for a few months.
