Moving window to other desktop leaves icon on taskbar

I have an interesting behaviour. When I move a window from desktop 1 to desktop 2, the taskbar icon stays on the taskbar of desktop 1. I think I can trace this back to applications written in Delphi. It happend in another desktop program as well. Any work arounds?
