Posted by Gabriele Trombetti on July 5, 2003, 4:09 am, in reply to "Hooks and Rules" You have to reveal all the FD icons with the hotkey, route with the mouse, and re-hide the FD icons... I suspect you are talking about the "maximized" The thing for moving OE automatically to desktop 1 would be "Delete from Current, Add to 1". Unfortunately the "delete" part doesn't seem to work with OE if it is done at creation: I have just tried... because OE does not respond well to hiding messages in the very instant that it's being created. This thing will be resolved as soon as I implement rules which can be delayed with a timer (one of the very next things I will add). Delaying by 30 milliseconds the application of such a rule would solve the problem. (You can see that the rule works correctly if you trigger it with the "Apply Now" hotkey or button once OE is fully created) Regards

1) Hooks tab: 'route all windows of process when x pressed' option: How do I do this just by using hotkeys? I prefer having the taskbar icons hidden but can only get this working by having them visible, then holding x while right-clicking the screen number icon.
Not possible unfortunatelyAlso, can this be set as standard behaviour? i.e. so I don't have to press a key at all
Not possible unfortunately
2) I tried toset up a simple rule to say 'When I run Outlook Express start it in screen 1 maximized'. Why is the Maximised box greyed out? I set the 'Add in' options to Desk 1 but why does it still opened in my current screen?
checkbox in the "which window" tab. That is the one for MATCHING the window on which you are interested. You can enable the checkbox by pressing the pushbutton at its left. However, that's not the checkbox you want. The checkbox for *making* the OE window maximized is in the action tab ("what to do") -> change window style -> set style modifications -> Maximized.
