does this problem have anything to do with XPs option to force tray items to hide/show always or only if active?
I don't have XP unfortunately.
What I can tell you is that the other XP users seem not experiencing this bug.
- Disable option "Remember windows placements at shutdown". (was it enabled?)
- Shutdown FD (not the whole computer, it's not needed).
- Go to the FD installation folder and delete Action.dat and WindowPlacements.dat .
- From that folder, restart FD by doubleclicking the icon "FlashDesktops.exe".
