Posted by Gabriele Trombetti on January 28, 2002, 2:45 pm You can save also more rules in one shot, to the same file, you know... When you upgrade, if you choose "Custom installation" it lets you choose not to overwrite Rules.dat (= "Sample rules already loaded in Rules.dat" being NOT checked). This will preserve your rules file intact. Hooks-special.dat Hmm... maybe you are right, I should change this behaviour... Regards
1) Every time a new rule is entered, you have to save it manually
Just make a multiple selection holding down CTRL or SHIFT before pressing save...so that in a next installation you can load them again.
Couldn't you make this an auto-save feature: you must specify a name for the rule anyway, so you can save it as 'rule name'.windowrule in the installation directory... When a new version is installed, just import all windowrules from the previous installation instead of having to do it manually every time.
Then you can still load (=merge) the new bundled rules pack manually selecting Load -> FDInstallationFolder/Window Rules/Sample2) Where are the "sticky windows" stored?
Every new installation clears my sticky windows list.
