Posted by Drew S on December 6, 2005, 2:25 pm Assuming I understand the execution of a superset correctly, and please correct me if I don't, what benefit does this have over other methods of training? It would certainly save on time, but how do the muscles respond to supersets versus regular sets?

Supersets are merely combining two exercises, usually of the same or antagonistic muscle groups, back-to-back with as little rest as possible, right? In other words, you could do a set of hammer curls and then immediately switch to preacher curls, but with a lighter weight on the preachers. Or you could do tricep extentions followed by bicep curls, again with a lighter weight on the latter.
