Posted by Doug on November 24, 2005, 4:06 pm when i started, my bench was at 55 lbs, 65 lbs for my squats, and 55 lbs for my deadlifts. that being a big enough blow to my ego i kept on. my bench is now 100 lbs and it isnt going anywhere. for the first month i could add about 6-10 lbs on the bar during each new workout session. the second month it almost didnt move. same for my squats, they are now at 100 lbs and not seeming to go anywhere, where before i could add 10 lbs on for each new workout session. and again same for my deadlifts which have made the most growth being at 112 lbs. i think i can still add weights to my deadlifts but im not totally sure, they could be coming ot a halt soon also. now that i think about it i still cant curl 25 lbs 8 times. i started at 20 and nothing much has changed. my question is what can i do to raise these numbers? if i take a break for 2 months and then start back up will i see the kind of progress i made before? these weight numbers just seem to low for my age, height, and weight (18, 6", 170 lbs) and it is getting on my nerves. also ive never played sports or done many physical things in my life. im guessing this could be another reason why the numbers just arent up there. any help, advice, or criticism would be appreciated.

ok so i started weight lifting around the beginning of september. ive been working all my body parts except my back regularly. the reason i havent worked my back much is because i just cant stay up doing bent over rows, my back is long and skinny and it kills it. i also dont have a bench high enough off the ground to lay on and do them.
