Agree. Every E. neglecta planted in our Southern Trials have performed extremely well down to 6 degrees. So little damage to them I'm confident they could survive sub zero temps.
Have one in the trials under a heavy Pecan tree and it looks great; even better than ones in full sun.
Give E. stellulata a try in shade. Great copper stems, deep green spade shaped leaves, even a noticeable star-shaped flower.
