I've sited this Eucalyptus neglecta in a shady spot outside of the Australian exhibit area since it's said that this species is one of the most shade-tolerant eucalypts. I don't have a lot of sunny space so I want to keep as much of the sunny areas available as I can for the eucalypts that require a lot of light. I want people to feel surrounded by an eucalypt forest when they step into Australia, hence the focus on planting the majority of them outside the public area.
The public area of the Australian exhibit area is behind this fence.
Fully secure against errant vehicles and ignorant humans.
