The first eucalyptus is around 20 feet. The leaves, when crushed, don't release much of an odor save for a tiny note of eucalyptus fragrance. Mostly, it just smells like a green leaf.
The second eucalyptus ... I don't know what happened to it. Perhaps it was blown over during one of the hurricanes in 2004. It has been neglected since it is located along the zoo's perimeter fence. (I started at working at the zoo just under two years ago.)
Notice there's both juvenile foliage (left) and adult foliage growing on the tree.
