some books to consider are the series on "field guide to eucalypts" by brooker and kleinig---i have the volume on those of south-eastern australia there are others for northern and south-western australia. "forest trees of australia" is a wealth of info on a number of important eucalyptus species (including detail on natural habitat, climate and rainfall, associated species and much more---one of my favorite books "a gardener;s guide to eucalypts" by ivan holliday covers a number of species native to and grown in gardens all over australia. "trees and shrubs for eastern australia" by j. o. dark has similar info on eucs and many other native and introduced trees. "the hardy eucalyptus page" link at the top of the main page of this board (written by Ian who created and moderates this board) is full of practical advice on growing eucs. in a variety of areas. the university of florida or similar schools where you are may also have printed or on-line info on growing eucalyptus for forestry, biomass, and horticulture that may be useful as well. hope this helps.
