sorry, missed the pictures of the seed capsules the first time around. just GUESSING but there appears to be a slight "beak" on the operculum of the seed capsule (plus the reddish underbark on the trunk) so it MIGHT be a form of the river red gum e. camaldulense. pictures of the flower buds might help resolve this---the number of buds can be diagnostic and sometimes pictures of the (maybe remaining) seed pods may not give an accurate count or impression of what is regarded as "typical" for that species. i've been told that i.d.'s for eucs can be a hard business even for the experts and sadly i'm not that creature
