I'm an Aussie living on a Greek island and want to try to grow a little piece of home here. The conditions are quite extreme so I was wondering if anybody could give me some advice on which species of euc would be most likely to survive cold winters (can snow with temps down to a few deg C below freezing at night), hot dry summers (can sustain over 40 deg C for days on end with no rain for months but will use drip watering system), high winds (up to 8 or 9 Beaufort or 50mph during a storm), salty air (live 200 meters from sea) and somewhat clay type soil. Ok, maybe I should just forget it......
