I'm looking for a euc that has an incredible growth rate, but is also relatively hardy. I'm looking at large amounts of land in Southern California and wanted to grow eucs for firewood, personal use. The region I'm looking at does get quite warm in the summer, but has seen snow in the winter. I want to grow the eucs in cycles, having 5 plots, each of which would be cut down in consecutive years. Plot 1 is planted and grown in the first year, then plot 2 the second year and so on. In the 5th year, I plant plot 5, and cut down plot 1 for use as firewood for the winter. With that said, plot 1 should be able to grow back on its own, meaning these eucs have a lignotubers.
Any thoughts or recommendations on good eucs that would suit this purpose and region?
