Thanks for the reply, George. I didn't realistically expect a positive I.D. for my tree, considering there are 700 (or so) species of eucs, especially since my tree is just a juvenile. But at least now I have some idea of what species it might be.
Providing my tree with full sun and well drained soil is no problem at all. My sandy soil is extremely well drained. Further, where I plan to plant my tree is about 250 feet away from my house, so if it by chance does get toppled one day in a hurricane or tropical storm, etc., it's location won't be a hazard factor.
I always take a photo of everything I plant, so that I can compare the growth rate from year to year. I look forward to watching my tree grow.
