Today a master gardener friend of mine gave me this small potted eucalyptus tree, as she knows I like to increase my species count of trees, plants, palms, etc.
I asked her if she knew what species this tree is, but she only said it was an Australian Euc (that narrows it down to maybe 500 or more species!).
In any event, I was delighted to get this tree and am anxious to plant it in the ground. However, I would like to know what the most desirable culture this tree prefers and just how cold hardy it is; hence, my visit to this forum, as many of you have helped I.D. eucs for me in the past.
I've taken three representative photos below for your assessment and evaluation. Any guesses or conclusions, etc.? Thanks.
