yes, the tiny dust like seeds are inside the capsule (aka "gumnut") which must obtain a certain ripeness to be fully developed. this ripeness is indicated by the color of the pod--you remove the ripe capsules and put them into a bag placed in a warm place so the capsules will open under controlled conditions that allow you to collect the seed more easily. ANYTIME you see the pods change color from green to brown (and in many cases it takes about a year but it MIGHT take less) you can start thinking about harvesting and seed collecting. hope this helps. good luck.
