This is a spectacular euc that looks more like a rainforest tree. I'd already worked out that this was C. confertiflora before I saw the sign below it saying just that. According to the book I was referring to, the only other "cabbage gum" in the area was C. grandifolia, and it has smooth bark all the way to the ground.
An open-and-shut case.
or so I thought until I looked up Euclid and read that C.dendromerinx is a very similar one growing in the same area. Well, C. confertiflora will do me!
