There used to be a company near Houston (Angleton?) that was growing the SC25 clone of camaldulensis from Simpson Timber. It's from an accession of Lake Albacutya trees that was selected for its fast upright growth habit and good salt tolerance. Where did you hear about them? Judging from the performance of various Simpson Albacutya seedlings here in S TX they seemed to fare a little better than unscreened camaldulensis in the cold snap.
