agreed, would love to hear more about how australian stuff fared down your way. has anybody tried e. victrix (smooth barked collibah) in your area? it is fairly likely that a large part of the problem is that your general climate doesnt give many eucs a neccessary "hardening off" period prior to cold epidsodes and thus leaves the plant in a tender still growing condition.
